Hi, just wanted to share how I make my frag discs for encrusting montipora and other corals that I would like to frag on a later occasion. I don’t like to ruin my rock work when doing fragging so I mount them on discs that are large :)

I used Nyos reef cement for this project since it was the easiest to get a hold of but you could use any type for this as long as it’s for aquarium use. If you want to use normal cements then look up the recipes for making LS there are a lot of treds on here for doing so. The thing with the reef cement is that you can use it the next day without any problems.

When I make flat disks i make the consistency quite watery so that it flouts out by itself.

Her you can see a few finished once.

And this is how I put them in to my tank to grow out.. they will get covered with coral and coralline algae over time so you won’t notice them that good :)

Happy reefing! :)
