Hello there.

My name is Fredrik, I am from Sweden.
Have been on and off with Saltwater Aquarium for 14 years.

A year ago I bought an Aquael 30l (8gal)
to have in the kitchen.
Its equipped with
Fluval marine led 20w
Tunze 9001 skimmer
Tunze 6040 Turbelle
20200930_131055.jpg

And now I have the ok to upgrade to a ~100l (~26gal).

20201009_170219.jpg

100 x ~30 x 36cm (40 x ~12 x 14 inces).
This aquarium will be equipped with
AI Hydra 64 HD
Tunze 9012 skimmer
2 x Jecod sow-8.

This will be SPS dominated with some few LPS and couple of fish.

Thinking like
2 Stonogobiops xanthorhinica
2 midnight lightning clown. Or somthing else of ocellaris.
1 Gobiodon histrio

And got now in my current tank
1 Lysmata amboinensis
1 Peppermint Shrimp
3 Trochus sp
2 Nassarius vibex

Montipora digitata red
Montipora sp. Green
Euphyllia
Acanthastrea ?
Lobophyllia ?
Goniastrea

Looking forward to this project and to be able to share this with you and to be able to ask questions that come up during the journey.
Have a nice day / evening.

//Fredrik

So im playing with the backround. Gone hide the skimmer and the pumps. (Got inspired with @Lasse build.)

As you can see the pumphead at the right side will be a bit to close to the front (with another BtN hiding it). So would be bit hard to clean there.

What do you think of have the pump head over here?

Would the pump interfere with the skimmer?

Also, try to imagine the pump heads behind BtN.

And now I see that the backgrounds are a bit of a color variation between them. :/

Im at an crossroad.
The BtN backrounds was a bit of color variation as you can see on my last post.
So i got 3, no 4 options.

Nr 1
To hell with the variation!
20201014_172228.jpg

Nr 2
Use one thats the same model as the other.
20201014_172246.jpg

Nr 3
As nr 2 but put the other upside down.
20201014_172309.jpg

But this will make space behind the BtN.
As seen here.
20201014_172315.jpg

Or option nr 4.
Buy a new model thats have the same color.

What do you all think?

Hi Fredrik,
Looking good so far, I like what your doing. I myself don't like to see any equipment in the display, especially in smaller nano type setups so I can appreciate what your doing. I personally think #2 will look good. Of the choices shown that's what I would go with.

Love the way you are hiding equipment. Following!

Cheers guys.
I try to make the best of the situation by hiding the pumps, there are modules for this but they are too big for my aquarium. So there will be some cut and paste with some spare BtN parts.

Busy day.
Got my shipment with Live rock today.
20201015_162419.jpg

20kg (44lbs)

Got a hitchhiker with it. :)
20201015_214239.jpg

So the LR is in a bucket to wait till the aquarium is done.

20201015_202419.jpg

And then I have been fixing with the BtN.
20201015_210410.jpg

(Havnt made it permanent yet)

Tomorrow I will start with the background that will hide the skimmer.

So it will be a few days to wait until I fix emptying the old aquarium. After that, the new one is put in place and then the filling begins.

This is what it looks like now. Think I need to find better spots for some of the corals.

20201021_181209.jpg

Also need to mixture with the flowrate on the pumps, so it will be more wave like.

Made an order on some fish and invertebrates. Will be home next week.
Went for
10x Hermit Crab.
10x Nerita sp., Tectus sp. or other species.
5x Burrowing Sand Snails.
2x Stonogobiops Nematodes.
1x Amphiprion ocellaris Black Ice Snowflake.
1x Amphiprion ocellaris - Fancy White.
1x Alpheus bellulus.

Wow, from your earlier pictures I didn't think I liked that back wall. Now that the tank is full and has rockwork, it looks very good. It's hard to get a sense of the depth from the picture, but I think the rockwork looks nice like it is.

I think it's "rocky" enough. I like the sand and it's thickness. If you want to have more "real estate" for the corals - I would go higher instead of wider.

The tank looks amazing. Keep the fotos coming :)

Looks fantastic! I like the scape as is, and there's nothing saying you can't mount corals to the background.
I may have missed it, but what light are you using?
