gcarroll's 260g SPS reef

I know Ca is getting a lot of rain, I wonder if he has a hole in the roof. Getting wet just the same.

I’ve been absent from the forums but have been active on Instagram. When I have some more time, I’ll post some more progress pics.

Greg,
Thanks for checking it.

Are you staying bare bottom, or would you rather not say?

i haven’t decided but I am leaning toward sand. Hard to tell how much flow is in the tank without detritus. I may have too much flow for sand.

1 vote for no sand here. Plus the lower rock work looks great with those claw type footprints creeping towards the front. Would hate to cover those with sand.
I wouldn’t be covering them. I’d only go with 1/2” to 3/4” deep on the sand

The tank is killer in person. So happy for Greg it’s been a long time coming. I can’t wait to go shopping once his system is full of corals and I am tank sitting. :p

where did you get the ProChem containers?
Peabody Engineering
The owner Larry is a great guy and actually a former aquarist. He invited me in and showed me a couple that fit the size I wanted in stock.
