Sorry but you can’t. They will be the ones to decide or they just don’t. Mine were hosted by my return nozzle for the first 1 1/2 years before they moved into the Duncan below it.

Your odds increase significantly if you get a natural host for percula, ritteri or gigantea. Unfortunately both are hard to find and keep. With bubble tips you just have to hope they take to them, or get a species of clown that utilize bubble tips

I will say I’ve never had a problem in the last. Usually a few weeks in an acclimation box and they take to them. These guys just aren’t showing any interest at all.

Just depends on your clowns, i have had ocellaris and perculas take to btas relatively quickly, while i have had other ocellaris never show interest. Bubble tips are not natural hosts for either percula or ocellaris. All the perculas i have kept went into btas

I've only had one opportunity to watch a hosting and my Maroon Clown took to the anemone without issue. But what has been stated is true. It's a crap shoot.

I just went ahead and let everyone out. They will find it or there won’t.

As mentioned previously, the only sure shot is to have a natural host (e.g., gigantea, magnifica). But, that said, in such a confined place, I wouldn't be surprised if your percs take to the BTA at some point.

I vote they find it.
Had a pair that went 8 months, then overnight.
Weird.

Time and patience. They will find it eventually. I bought a pair of true percs. My kids kept asking why the clowns don’t go in the anemones right away. Patience I told them. I tried everything to show them they could go in, I did 3 different rounds of taping pictures of clowns in anemones all around the tank. The 3rd time one of the clowns really took interest in one of the pictures. We played videos for them on the iPad and tv across the room. About a week later the male started to take interest and started discovery. After a couple days of discovery and testing the waters so to say. The male was in it full time. It took about 3 days for the female to discover where the male went and finally started its own discovery path. Now both never leave them and after about a year process they are in! Now my anemones have split to over 40 in this tank. Check out my build thread for more info if interested.
