I'll keep you posted lol I've 1/2 of my colonies about a year the longest running is the glitterbomb where I posted the before pic it was a freebie from aqua sd looked super bleached when I got it but has great growth so far and that was a year ago but unless something goes super sideways I don't see it going down hill knock on wood

Do you guys with great goni growth feed your gonis? How do you do it, and with what?
I think it’s safe to say that the secret to gonis is nutrition. Doesn’t have to necessarily be target feeding, although that’s what I do. I feed mine twice a week with goniopower. I place a cut-off 2L bottle with a half inch rigid tube attached to the bottle cap over the goni and then I drop the goniopower powder mixed with a little water down the tube onto the retracted goni using a dropper. The powder piles up on top of the retracted goni and then the goni goes to work on it. Half an hour later the pile of food is gone and the goni starts to extend. Many people have had success with broadcast feeding and just from the goni extracting nutrients from the water. But I don’t think you would be successful in a clean tank with just lights. Of course I could be wrong, but why take a chance? Here’s a few pictures of my feeding process. First two pics show the feeding tubes and corals about a half hour after feeding. The last two show the corals the next day. Any questions, just ask.

Quick question. Do the glitter spots glow under actinic/blue lighting? Nice coral btw.
yes, they are actually more noticeable under actinic/blue lighting rather than white lights. The shot above was taken with a kessil a360x with reefbrite addon kit. I can take a more white light picture if you want. The glitter doesn't pop as much

Thanks. I gotta have one. No this picture is just fine. But if you feel like it, go ahead with the white light picture.

Surreal-looking clown fish. The most I’ve ever seen.

This one is a year old. The Clowns love it and Goni doesn't seem to mind. My 2 are ORA farm raised.

That was the saying some time ago, but if you get ORA farm raised, I've seen lots of people having them for 1+ years and still going.

My goni is glued to a Live Rock Rubble piece situated firmly in the sand bed and is loving life. Many new heads growing and it's only 2.5 months old.

I do Reef Blizzard broadcast feeding twice a week.

It's a bit closed up right now, thanks to crab cleaning, but overall it's literally doubled since I bought it.
