Hi1. Pic under whites if possible
2. Parameters (alk, nutrients - nitrates/phosphates, salinity, temp, magnesium and calcium if you have)
3. Any livestock that could be irritating it?
4. Have you been feeding it?
5. Has anything changed?
My guess is low nutrients, irritation, incorrect or change in flow, or it needs food.
Hanna multiparameter photometerSalinity is low... should be 1.025-1.026
Mag is too high should be around 1350 ppm
Phos is a little low should be .03-.05
What test kits?
Yes, you can also broadcast feed Reef blizzard or something similar. Gonis love higher nutrient tanks and seem to thrive in that situation, as they use to be known as a 6 months coral for most then suddenly die. The newest info that most people go by is keeping them in higher nutrient tanks...and they do wellIf my phos hits 0, my gonis close up like that, shrink, and waste away. I lost a beautiful pink goni I had for a year because I cut back on feeding and phos bottomed out. Agree Mg is unusually high but not sure that is a problem (I run Mg 1400-1500). I think Ca of either 383 or 446 is probably ok, but I would try hard to avoid rapid swings that big. If it was me I would feed reef roids or something to bump phos up for a few days and see if that helps. I think it is hard to go to high on phos with gonis (as with all things reef, slow changes are best).
