Good morning and happy Friday! Got a good nights sleep last night. I sure needed that!! Thinking about transferring new fish to acclimate box in the 180 DT. Been dosing DinoX in my 34 gal reef tank but at this point it’s just a FOWLR as all corals have died. Tested phosphate yesterday and it was so high it won’t even register on my Hanna checker. Before I started dosing a month ago it was .50 which is high but wondering if the dinoX made it even higher. The Hanna was flashing 200 which means it’s too high to even read. With no coral in there I will leave the light off a while longer and start water changes again. I hate Dino’s!

Turn up the flow as high as you can get it. Wait a couple of hours and do an 80% water change. Just make sure to heat the water and match the SG.
You want the sand moving around a bit.
Leave the flow like that for at least 5 days.
I am pretty sure they will be gone.

I need to set up a hospital tank for the emperor. I asked but got no response as usual. I must have quite the reputation here. I did get 2 well meaning responses mentioning ich. It was just stuff in the water when I took the pics from the dragon goby feeding. Someone mentioned his tail. The Koran angel ate it off when I added him to the 240. That is what grew back. Like me, he isn't perfect but that is okay.

It's a pretty big fish so I guess I will get a 40 breeder from Petco and build a stand for it.
I think it has an infected urchin spine wound.
That makes 2 fish in hospital tanks. My pleco is in a 10 gallon being treated with kanaplex. I have no idea what happened to him. He has been in with the feeders a long time. Maybe I have a killer guppy or molly.

Pretty ugly but it actually looks better than it did.

All of my family were fisherman from the same town in Sicily called Sciacca. We went there a few years ago and half the town, including the "Mayor" has my same last name. :)

Today is a big day for me. An art gallery here is featuring my Steampunk "devices".

They have 8 of them there and there will be a big "Meet the Artists" party.

I would really enjoy attending that.
My father was 100% Sicilian
We joke about it but I did have a relative found with cement shoes in Chicago. There were Members of the family that grandpa forbade anyone to talk to or about.
I remember family gatherings in Marion Ohio where no English was spoken and I was a very lost little boy suspicious of all the strange foods. How I would enjoy that now. But all those people have passed.

Interestingly My grandfather changed his name at Ellis Island. It was spelled differently after he went through than what
appears on some church records and the ship manifest to New York.
The previous spelling for the last name is like this person mentioned on Wikipedia.

Just had my first COLD morning soak in 104* spa water. Very refreshing to say the least. Kinda wish I had cool hair like this guy though!
