First is an asternia star fish and second is a pod. Pods are great the stars have a mixed reputation. Some eat coral some do not.

The pod is noe dead I killed it ( there goes my Mandarin fish) I don't think that I need anymore starfishes

Check out your tank in the morning with a blue or red flash light if you see more stars, if so get a harlequin shrimp.
Pods are good and you can spike your tank any time with a thousand or so.
