Hello,

I love brittle stars, when I first started I only picked up LR so I had the chance to get one and today I found one for sale I had no hesitation, I bought it. I came home and searched up how I should acclimate it. Found out its a "green" brittle star and it will eat anything slow in my tank.. I have a conch and urchin I really like and I'm wondering if the brittle star would bother them? I read a lot of forum posts saying they can eat your fish, im pretty disappointed now, I was really excited lol. I just added it to my tank and I'm going to watch it closely. Anyways my question is will the brittle star bother my Conch, pin cushion urchin or my lawnmower blenny?

Thanks!:)

How big is the center disk? Dime, nickle, quarter?

Anything much bigger than a quarter is kinda big. (Potential fish killer)
You can target feed it the same way you feed your fish.
That should reduce the potential problem. But. Nature...

Its about a quarter size, thanks! I tried giving it some table shrimp, it acted like it was going to it but changed its mind and went back into its cave lol.

Post a pic? I think we're all thinking of the green death brittle star (Ophiarachna incrassata), but it may be something else

My parameters are all good As well.

Ah yep green death. Those are fish eaters (usually). Maybe try a smaller piece of shrimp (like 1/3 of the piece you gave him) and try feeding with the lights off

I had a brittle star and a couple of times I would see him going after snails.

I had a brittle... till my pistol shrimp dismembered all his arms. careful about those two together. mine had fresh and frozen/thawed scallops while I kept it, and was very lively.
