I recently added 2 green gigs and a cream colored one to my setup..1 green went under the rocks and hangs upside down and only peeks out to get a little light at a time..the other is right under the Radions I have @ 100% and soaks it up..The cream colored one is under the rock , but has most of its body out in the light and expands widely as each day passes to get more light... I decided to leave the radions on that side of the tank @ 100% and just let them acclimate themselves..Hope the one all the way under the rock comes out a little more as time goes on..Once fed (every wed) they blow up nice a day or 2 after...It's a process..and I'm being patient since they are otherwise healthy, sticky, and eating well.......

Those shelves are perfect for Sps or even better, magnifica!

I love your setup. Very beautiful design with the cabinet space and to be able to eat there everyday. Priceless.

HA! I still want some coral in there and not two types of nems that get to be a foot plus in diameter and take all the real estate.

Thank you! The bar feature is a very nice addition.

Awesome tank. So spacious looking. The shelf in one pic made me think you had like an 8 inch sand bed and my thought was he is such a rebel. now days Dsb kinda out of style

Thank you! Yeah my sand bed is varying from 0.5" - 3". Need a place for wrasses to snooze.

My radions are only at 50%. Time is a lot of the best answers in this hobby!
Let's see some pictures.

Here is one from a few days ago from a cell phone with the orphex lens.

oooh, Orphek lens is nice!!!
Looks like you could use some pearly jaws with all that sandy real estate.

Well looks like everyone found the gig once it came out from under the rock. Probably going to be an issue in the future. BTA won’t cut it for the others.

How’s the gig doing today?
Going to live vicariously, wish I had room for one.

The gig is doing amazing! Nice deep green coloration. Clowns are starting to feed it, which means the growth rate will increase here soon I am sure. I will get some photos tonight.

Honestly wish I had a blue one to go with it.

Very nice. Gigantea usually dose not move a lot if you give him lot so light and flow.
I got two small green ones, and both are in my 65 gal office tank.

Thank you. He should have plenty of light.. Radions and supplemental orphex bars. Flow should be good as well. I can turn some of the pumps if needed as well.

The greens are so florescent!

Some photos of the gig. This is on my phone so DSLR will come out this weekend. 4 clowns in a 360 and only one gig is going to be problematic. Guess I need another gig. The RBTA won't work for the others. They just ignore it.

That is a really nice green Gigantea. Where did you get your’s Gigantea?
Here is mine. One hiding and one out in the open. My new tank is well on its way.

I got him from a R2R member. Nemguy. I was very happy from all sides.

Yours look great and very healthy! I am really considering a blue...
Honestly mine looked a little bleach on one pedal about three weeks ago. The second the clowns went in and found him and started feeding him.... back to deep coloration. No idea if the clowns did anything or not. Could just be still acclimating no idea, but happy with how it looks today.

I am now working on 1 month with housing a green gig. Thank you @Nemguy123.

Thought I would share my experience so far. Survival post the 6 month mark is when I will feel at ease with this nem.

Gig is the first inhabitant of the reef when it comes to coral/inverts ( besides CUC). Thought process was to ensure it can find a adequate spot to lively happily with minimal movement. No other corals will be on his island for weeks if not several months.

Mine has already been through it's power head stage trying to find a more suitable spot. Now it is healing hopefully onto a more permanent spot which is never guaranteed.

Arrival date: July 28th

End of first week: Power head incident

I will get the real camera out once he is fully healed up and ready to be photo genetic
I really love the blue ones, there's a guy in Orange county and he can bring them back from the dead. Amazing, I'm from Orange county but it's not me I deal with a totally different animal.
