Looking good bro! I love the open aquascape! Whats your photoperiod on your lights? I have the exact same lighting setup bulb combo as your minus the purple +.....

My tank has been up for almost 2 years now and i am having the same exact issues as you! I run a cal rx that keeps everything stable in my tank, i check alk with hanah, salifert, and rs.

I think i have narrowed down my problem to a lack of flow which is causing a lack of nutrient delivery......

What kind of flow do you have? Lets see if we can get this hammered out! I have been pulling my hair trying to solve the issue, but doing very small changes in my setup and husbandry...... first i pulled gfo offline because my po4 was at 0.00 with hanah, i also have a large refugium full of chaeto and 4 mangroves, next i think im going to pull mangroves....

I feed ON flake 4 x a week, frozen blend of emerald entree, supershrimp, pe mysis 4 times a week, and sheet of nori 4 times a week. No set schedule

Fwiw, i have read that you have to have 1 mangrove per gallon to see any real nutrient reduction.

Typed from my phone, because I have nothing better to do.

dwilliams sps frag pack: bubblegum milli, rainbow sherbert milli, lime in the sky(died apon arrival) pink tip sarmentosa, deep blue tort, bali echinata(icefire variant), blue hoeusemai, blue tip green table, hot pink acro, rommels watermelon, exquisitor acro, ORA ice tort, chaos cyphastria, rainbow nasuta, dragonskin acro, ORA verde, toxic green tort, rainbow pocci, mettalic blue milli,

Congratulations on the one year anniversary. The tank looked great when I was there yesterday. It has definitely came a long way. Can't wait to see it after the LED upgrade!

That skimmer is a beast! And that fan does a great job cooling the tank. I hope to have pictures uploaded this afternoon. I need to put a new coat of paint and finally get around to painting those fan vent covers.

Thanks to dwilliams for telling me about uploading photos from the mobile app. Here is a few pics i took yest.

Big thank you for gmoney and dwilliam on helping me choose my new led kit.

I ended up choosing a awesome 90 bridgelux led dimmable kit from aquastyle.
The kit contains:
18 blue(one driver), 18 royal blue( one driver), 9- 10k, 9- 6500k(one driver), 6 UV, 8 violet(one driver), 6 cyan, 6 green(one driver), 6 pink, 4 red( one driver)
The kit came with 5 drivers so i bought a extra so i can control each color as i wish. The kit came with 60°optics too so i hope to have a amazing par compared to what i have with my MH/t5.
Right now my par ontop of my scape(16" down) is 200-250. I believe that may be a reason im not getting great color/growth.
Im keeping my 4-t5s to supplement the new leds and fill in any shadows. The led heatsinks will be at the dimension as my MH reflector so i shouldnt have any issue with it fitting in my canopy.

Stay tune for the led build and hopefully a improvement in color and growth in the near future.

Thanks for everyone's help
Greg

I bought new MH/t5 bulbs on black friday(end of nov). While swapping t5bulbs i lost a connection somewhere and lost my t5s for quite awhile i try to troubleshoot the problem. After many weeks rewiring all connection with a new wiring harness i realized that the problem was a connection problem with a bulb making a good contact. So with a twist i had.my t5s back on. But not before all my corals turning completly brown with i thought i had flatworms.
After dipping everything i found nothing but with a par meter i realized that MH only. I was only getting 100-125 par ontop of my acros 16" down. With t5 only was about the same par, so with MH/t5 on im getting 200-250 par and most of my corals are getting some.color back.

So bare with me as i replace the MH with leds so hopefully i can get better par then im getting now.

Thanks
Greg
