The spread of the LED bar comes down to the reflectors or optics used. Hence why I said it depends on the LED

I’ve tested and ran my fair share of LEDs and certainly did more than enough with T5s to understand how they work :grinning-squinting-face:

I was in this position in my tank. I had an Orphek or3 Blue Plus giving me great color with T5, but my main concern is the weight of the orphek in 36" is 3.68 pounds for only 1 were 2 would have been 7-8 pounds

So I went with the AI Blades Grow and they are really nice and give me more PAR and the extra white light I needed back and front of the tank. I use it as well as my ramp up and down combine with the ATI T5 6 bulb fixture

T5s are a dying breed and will be obsolete in less than 5 years

… lol,
yet every aquatic led fixture is trying to emulate t5
