Hey everyone,

I have had a small clown in qt for 8 days. The tank had been cycled and is currently sitting at 2.5 ppm copper power. I did a dose of GC on aug 8 and I al going to do the second one tmrw. Currently I noticed that there is a white growth near the gill/face. Not sure what it is but it may be bacterial. I attached a few pic below. Any advice? #fishmedic

Does it appear fuzzy; flat, like a pimple, or broken skin?

I’d just keep from adding any more stress and feed, feed, feed.
See where “that” goes in the next few days.
Sometimes less is better.

No doubt bacterial and will require treatment in a separate treatment tank using either seachem kanaplex or Maracyn 2 for at least 5 days
Assure your ammonia and nitrate level is not elevated

So I would need to setup a second qt just for the kanaplex treatment?

This is the best picture I could take.

In the absence of any other symptoms, and since you are dosing prazi and copper, I would just observe it closely for now. You might want to "pre-buy" some broad spectrum, gram negative antibiotic in case things go south quickly.

I was able to get my hands on some kanaplex and metroplex, but I couldn't find any furan 2. Hopefully I won't have to, but if I needed to do a treatment, could I mix kanaplex/metroplex with copper provided I supply extra aeration?

I would skip the metroplex, that isn't indicated here and it overlaps with copper. You can dose Kanaplex with copper.
