GSP Growing like crazy, but barely opening

I am not sure what changed, but my GSP used to open to where you could only see a mat of green. Lately, it has been growing pretty fast (I can see the purple base growing on the rock) but it hasnt been opening much. The green polyps are no longer than the white center of the GSP heads. Any ideas why this is happening? I figure it would stop growing if it wasnt happy.

For what it is worth GSP is from another planet and will grow anywhere and everywhere whether you want it to or not. With that said mine used to do the same from time to time. I didn't know why either. I just did a couple water changes and after about a week or so it came right back.

Could be something with your water chemistry or lighting. Have you changed anything recently? If not, then I would do a water change and just wait a week or so.
