Any thoughts on what is going on with my hammer coral? It appears one of the heads its much brighter and doesn’t look to good but the rest of the coral, tank overall is looking great. Has been like this for about a week. Thinking about doing an iodine dip out of precaution.

Thanks

It’s a relatively newer head, just split from the one next to it. It previously looked the same as the others which is why I am a little concerned.

If it's like that for more than a day, I would do an iodine dip and maybe even QT with Cipro for 10 days.

It could be nothing, or it could quickly turn to brown jelly. I tend to prefer to treat as it hasn't shown to cause problems. And the risk of not treating is at least 1 head, possibly all of the Euphyllia.
