Hanna Salinity Checker Error Issue HELP Please

Anyone use the Hanna Salinity Checker?
I am having issues with mine. It was showing 25% battery left and err. So I replaced the battery, and still says 25% and err. Anyone have this issue? Know how to fix it? Help.

Dumb question, but has it ever been submerged, or allowed to float?

Yeah I had floated and I think I submersed it

Might have got water into it, even though it should be waterproof

That's my thought, perhaps some water got past the compartment seal, or the o-ring wasn't seated properly / pinched, etc.

But in my experience, even if it says it's waterproof, you should try to act as if it isn't.

Safer, and less chances of problems
