Look for a package next week. Mailing today got delayed because the PO is closed. I may be able to do it after work tomorrow. I hand picked both.
Omg, You really didn't have to do that! If your going for the sweetest R2R member award you probably have over half the entire members list vote. Your a real gem. :)

I’m with you on the sand stirring fish. I need one, but I have a lot of corals on the bottom and don’t want them covered!
If you think of a good candidate let me know. I will keep researching and share what I find.

My Fighting Conch does an a good job. I would recommend getting 1-2 of them for sure as well. I had 2 but one disappeared.

Yes sir, those are definitely on our list! The wife had one, they do a great job and we had fun watching it eat. Cool critters for sure! Our lfs had a couple but they were the size of a dime which is fine for her tank, but I want some size in mine.

I want a conch but I'm afraid he'll push a lot of my sand living corals around.
We had a small problem with hers doing that, never intentionally going head first into them, but it's shell moving them a tad bit as it went buy. Nothing extreame though.

Just popping in to say hi, Gonna take me a bit to catch up but I love that first post! Didn't realize you had a half cylinder setup.... Very cool.
Ah yes! Thanks for stopping by! Ya it's a slow build, I didn't rush anything. Still moving slow bit that's ok, it keeps the dream alive.

Ordered some phyto, 5280 pods and they kicked in free live brine shrimp for the wife's tank this week. I got notification they dilevered and dropped the package on my front porch. Strange, like most people I only have 1 front porch. No package and no card. Called and placed on hold. I gave up the hold process after 30 minutes. So I drove to the other side of town to stand in a 30 minute line at the post office yesterday to discover the put it in the wrong mail truck. Yep, delivered to the other side of town to the "wrong" front porch. I asked why they even delivered it since it is clearly marked as live animals in 30 degree weather. The response was....oh, ya, they shouldn't have....well Duh! They told me the driver will be dispatched out to get my package and drop it at my house in a couple of hours. Ya, that was last night, no package. Guess where I am now? Yep in front of the post office waiting on them to open. Thank goodness it wasn't fish or corals, but still this causes me to jump through hoops that I didn't expect to jump through. 2 days shipping and dropped at the wrong house, what are the odds of everything surviving? I know slim if nobody took the package in since the temp dipped down in the teens. Thanks USPS!

Thanks for letting me vent team, I feel better! :)

Sorry to hear all that friend.

Hopefully they survived. I think most of us have gone through a similar situation.

And it’s your thread, so vent away!

They still don't have them retrieved, they said the plan to sent a driver to that address today. But they did tell me since they messed up that they will assist in filling out the claim paperwork and filling the claim. Gee, that's so nice. o_O

Excellent choice in tank! I have the same tank running as a full reef and half circle

are truly stunning! This has been up now for several years I also found a “new” used tank that had never been wet. Here are some recent pics of mine. Best of luck I will be following along. For lighting I have 2-AP700 Kessil and 2-360’s for the back corners. That too me is the challenge with this tank is getting light on the back corners it’s so deep so adding the 360s took care of that for me.

Vent away!

AlgaeBarn is really good with their DOA policy as well. Its probably worth looping them in now to your situation.

Pods arent as sensitive as fish/inverts. They can survive a while in colder temps. Teens may be pushing it though.

They made right by me once, no questions asked.

Nothing like stupid, and I do mean stupid, post office employees... I have had nothing but problems with them recently. Ever since our old driver retired they can't get any thing right. Post master had been notified by more than just us about how incompetent the service has become.

Wow, absolutely breath taking!
