Sad morning, woke up to fund what's left of my Tribal Blenny in the corner of the tank. It looks like Mongo the big red legged crab was doing his job. He was such a cool fish, RIP little buddy.

Sorry man. It always stinks when it happens. :(

The most fun I have in this hobby is when it's time to feed the nems. As a matter of fact I get excited when the wife says it's time to feed them because I know I'm about time to experience some cheap entertainment!

I love walking into Dillon's (Kroger) and walking back to the sea food department...it always happens like this EVERY TIME!

Clerk:. Can I help you?
Me:. I would like a shrimp
Clerk: how much would you like
Me: 1
Clerk: 1 pound
Me: No, 1 shrimp
Clerk:. Laughing, are you serious?
Me: Do you see me laughing? I just need 1.

Everytime the clerk has to call back another clerk because their scales doesn't read that low. Then it's...we don't know how to charge you for this.

Me:. Well, gee, I have a great idea....

If you have nems, have some fun!

I get the same response when I buy a single shrimp and scallop. Feeds my eel for a month!

Well I'm thinking my Tribal Blenny has flukes. He will swim around fine and then swim down and slap the sand. I have read posts on the web where some people say its a normal weird thing that some of them do but I'm a little skeptical. No spots, no rapid breathing, not rubbing on the rocks, no yawning or swimming in the power heads. Had him in for observation in the qt for about 2 weeks but didn't treat for anything. It looks like its getting irritated on the sides from slapping the sand. Fun part will be catching this guy.
What do you think? @Dsnakes @mta_morrow

Sorry, I missed this somehow...sad to hear he didn’t make it.

Everything else is looking good!

Thanks, I have been keeping a close eye on everything else in the tank, nothing else is out of the norm.

We just spotted the elephant snail in the 32 again. We seen him a month or so ago. Boy! That thing is getting big!

That’s awesome! Crazy how it can disappear in the tank of that size.

Nice! I just saw my Porcelain Crab for the first time in a month and a half, but he is much smaller and flatter than that big ole snail.

I'm really sorry about your Blenny.:(
Thanks, he was cool. I thought about getting another tribal but in this hobby there are so many fish to choose from I might go for more color.

The tank space is nice but it makes the decision a little tougher on what to get. 5-6 more fish and I'm done stocking fish. I have no clue what those fish will be. Seems like when I write down what I want another neat fish shows up on someones build and I'm back at square one.

Trip to the lfs was unfruitful today. I spotted a super nice torch and hammer but I wasn't willing to pay that much! Knowing I wanted a Blue Star Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon bipartitus) he ordered one in and went out of his way to text me. Now that's low! So like a hungry Kansas bass I took the bait. He got it in last Wednesday and I have been going in almost everyday watching her. She doesnt have the brightness in color I'm looking for but she looks extremely healthy and eating good. Never know, I might cave.

Now it's time to watch the Chiefs and Rams battle it out to see who walks away 10-1. The mancave is so enjoyable, its hard to decide if I should watch the game or the tank! A shot from the poker table.

Nice cave. Plenty of commercial time for tank watching!

Hey ! ! ! I think we need an update to this thread.....
dunno2.gif
Haven't had my hands in it! If its not broke dont fix it right! The tank is running great right now. The sand has a bit of diatoms still but it's not bad considering it's still a young tank. I really don't have a high flow area in the sump where I can put a bag of carbon so I did pick up a cheap multi media reactor that I'm messing with at the moment. The plan is to place it in the skimmer chamber and dump in my return chamber. Instructions are seriously lacking so say the least.

The leather and GSP is out of the wife's tank and placed in this one as a "test specimen". Since I have zero access to a par meter I thought I would see how these do on the floor before introducing anything else. It has done well for a few weeks so it's time for some new corals....

The Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse (Ricky Bobby) has now became my favorite fish since I lost the Tribal Blenny. What a nice fish! I'm at a loss on what to add next...come on folks toss out some suggestions! I want something to work the sand and not pile all of my substrate on everything. Couple of tangs, and that shark I was talking about getting earlier. Just checking to see if you really read this.

Currently have
2 Maroon gold lightning clowns
4 lyretail's
1 one spot foxface
1 Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse

QT is empty and waiting...

A hawk of some sort won't mess with the sand and love to perch. I love my Long Nose for just that reason.

And I did read that but figured you were joking...

Yes! the shark was definitely a joke :D ...it would be cool to have a tank big enough for one someday. I will have to check out the long nose, I have seen them but to be honest I have not read up on them yet. Thanks for looking folks!

The lfs is closed today but I will see what new stuff they got in tomorrow. Maybe I'll get lucky and they will get one in.

Look for a package next week. Mailing today got delayed because the PO is closed. I may be able to do it after work tomorrow. I hand picked both.
