All this clam talk the last couple weeks made me want one, somehow wound up with two

I still think it is PMD and the clam got reinfected. Keep an eye on it. 1 week in a small QT with lighting would solve the problem.

unfortunately a QT is a no go, and my smaller tank i dont trust to be ready for anything as sensitive as clams.

i will probably do another dip tomorrow as preventative measures and see if that helps at all. the clam doesnt really seem to mind and seems to open more than ever after the dip, like it got refreshed.

Maybe place the clam in a bowl when you place clam back in the tank if you need to do another FWB. I'm not sure, but siphoning some water off the area in the tank may help, along with blowing any detrus in the area may help too (let it settle before returning clam). The bowl will act like a barrier and might help.

oh and i totally forgot. i just switched from my Micmol mini (wonderful light btw, it works great and programmable, i believe it is being discontinued and upgraded to the Thor series) to a Hydra 32. Hopefully the increased wattage will also increase growth.
