Hi everyone!
While already a member of several online reef hobby forums, it somehow became time for me to join another one. So, I found my way here.
I've been in the reefkeeping hobby for more than 4 years now, but have taken care of fw tanks since I was little and old enough to maintain it on my own without my parents help. I guess it was a lesson in responsibility that grew into something my wife, despite her liking aquariums, would describe as an obsession.
I had to take down my 90g reef that was my first sw tank just recently due to a remodeling project in our house. But, all the livestock is hanging out in a couple 100g Rubbermaid stock tanks while I work on a separate remodeling project myself -- building a fish room. I'm converting a storage room in our carport into a fish room. It's not a big space (just over 9' x 7'), but it gets to be my space to do what I want with the hobby without cluttering up our house with multiple tanks. Please don't think my wife has booted my hobby out of the house though, as I'm still keeping my 250g DD reef and a 75g (plans not set for this one yet, maybe a FOWLR so my wife can have a couple fish she likes that aren't reef safe) in the house as dedicated display tanks (mainly meaning no frag racks or rows of frags lined up on the sandbed). I'm definitely excited about getting the fish room up and running... Hopefully that's something I can finish up soon, but time with the home remodel is, well, short to say the least for now. I've been taking pix, so I'll probably post a build thread for it at some point. Stay tuned...
