Hi guys,

I am following reef2reef on facebook for quite a while and now I decided to sign up :).

I am from Germany, 27 years old and started as a child with freshwater aquariums. Three years ago I decided to start a saltwater tank. This one was about 4gallons and very basic with some Zoas and LPS.

Last November I started a new tank with 15g.
It is a Dennerle 60 Marinus Cube with non standard equipment.

  • about 8KG Real Reef Rocks
  • AI HD Prime
  • 2x Hydo Koralia 900 with Controler
  • Tunze 9004
  • No name Osmolator
So far I am pretty satisfied. I´ve got about 15 different Zoas/Palys and a few LPS and SPS. Two bubble anonemes for my two Clowns.

I will add some coral photos of my old tank.
For better quality please follow my Flickr Stream:

Best wishes from Germany and please apologize my bad grammer :).

Best Ben

Welcome to R2R, Ben! Glad to have you here with us! Thanks for sharing your system and those pictures are beautiful! Keep us posted on the progress of your tank. Your English is better than a lot of Americans. ;) Cheers and happy reefing!

Wow, thanks a lot!

Yes there are quite a lot of reefers out there. There are a lot of SPS and LPS available but in my opinion less Zoas and also less fish.

But after all I guess it is much easier to get corals in the US.

Guten tag and welcome!

Great photos! Do you have a name for the zoa's in the first pic (the purple and green ones). I have some almost like that I've been trying to ID.
