Seems appropriate to say hello and stuff.

First off: I'm absolutely floored by all the knowledge and helpfulness of Reef2Reef! I've learned quite a lot just reading everything on these forums.

My name, obviously, is Jim. I'm currently living in Salem, OR with my wife. I'm originally from Portland, OR. Been in Salem 6 years, now. I'm a manager and DJ at Sunset Strip in Portland, OR. Been doing this about 12 years.

I've had many fresh water tanks over the years and this will be my first foray into the saltwater reef tank arena. I'm pretty excited! I'm even looking forward to the problems that will most likely arise!

Since we are renting we are starting out with a 48x24x24 tank. Going all out on it.

I'm excited to learn more and share my successes and failures here on these forums.

Thanks for having me!

Welcome home, you will love it here!

Keep us posted with your build with lots of pics! :)
