Hello All- Help please! I had a bad asterina problem, so I purchased a super cool harlequin shrimp. She devoured every one within a month. Now I'm having issues sourcing starfish. This girl is starving! Does anyone in the Tampa area have any starfish (even asterinas) they can spare? Would be willing to trade her for a cool fish as I hate to see her starve to death. Thank you!

Welcome and a Texas "Howdy!" I've no ideas about local to Tampa, but glad you joined. Hoping it all works out for you with your shrimp.

So there is nothing else the Harlequin shrimp will eat other than star fish? So I need to order a live star fish and freeze it or there are places you can buy them as food?

Hello and Welcome to R2R! I too wanted a harlequin shrimp but fear that once it eats all the asterinas then It would be difficult to provide its food source. I pull the asterinas out of my tank once every two weeks when I'm doing the water changes.

Hello, thanks for the reply. I opted to keep the starfish and not the Harlequin. I couldn’t bear them losing limbs. Lol
