Greetings and welcome to the reef! You've come to the right place. As other have noted, in order to assist with the algae issue, we'll need some more information. What are your parameters? Which test kits are you using? What filtration methods do you employ? How often are you doing WC's? How are you making up your water? What does your photo period look like?

I generally go to the fish store and have them check my water. The last 2 times I have gone it has been good. Nothing out of whack. my water comes from the fish store so I’m told they get it from Catalina.

have you tested water chemistry and if so can you provide us with results ?
What kit are you using ?

I get my water from the fish store. I believe they get it from Catalina, but not sure. I do haver the water tested at least once a month and all levels are good.
