Help an aquarium addict in need!

Gang,

I hate to ask this but I am in need of soft and LPS coral frags.

A little background:

I bought a house (Thank God!) and, while we were moving, someone decided to break into the old house and vandalize it including using my reef tank as a toilet.

I lost everything but a maroon clown, a few clove polyps and was able to frag of a piece of my toadsool.

I lost about $600 worth of livestock and liverock in the disaster.

I would really appreciate any frags you guys can spare and would pay shipping. With the move and consequent remodel, I can't afford to pay the online prices out there right now and there is no local source within a decent driving distance from me that's affordable either.

ouch man, that's a horrible turn of events! Sorry to hear that, and I'd help you out if I could, but I'm just starting with my corals and theyre by no means big enough to frag yet. Hopefully someone on here can help you though. I'd like to think that there are enough guys with more than enough to spare you a few pieces. Sorry for your loss though man. People can really be ****es. :(

Thanks for the thought. It's amazing. They ruined just about everything left in the house and we didn't really care except for the tank. As long as the family is safe, you can rebuild everthing else. The landlord got the police report and his insurance covered his property but nothing of mine and renter's insurance didn't cover it cause we had already started moving.

And yes, people can sometimes be a real poo!

blue zoo and liveaquaria both have free shipping right now on orders over $250 or so and they both are cheaper than what i can get in town just an idea

Sorry to hear that! Just a thought... Shipping can be kind of expensive, especially overnight. Mr Coral has recently had many nice frag packs. I got one that had 20 pieces in it shipped for 99 dollars. You may check and see if he has any of those left. That might be cheaper than having to pay shipping from several different people.

My tank is currently nothing but frags from frag packs. I have bought some from Mr Coral and Sexy Corals. Also, Elite Reefs has several coral frags for 10 dollars right now, with 25 dollar overnight shipping.

Glad your family is safe, and you are absolutely right, everything else can be rebuilt/replaced.

Another huge thank you! Gnoles is bringing frags by as well. Looks like I am going to be completely stocked!

How in the world can I thank you all enough except to say that, for sure, when these grow out, I will be giving frags to those in need.

Maybe I can have Gary show me how to take a decent photo while he is here. :) I don't know if you have seen his pics but he is definitely talented.

Holy cow! Gary and Paul loaded me down with frags! Candy Cane, digi, cap, birdsnest, encrusting monti. 12 frags in all. After the shipment on Wed, my tank will look like a reef finally.
