Help Drain noise

How big is this tank? How much water are you trying to turn over? Can you take those grates off of the bulkheads easily? Do you have room in your drain pipe set up for gate/ball valves?

You put the valve on the deeper of the two drains. The end in the sump should be under water. You close the valve until a tiny amount of water goes down the second drain. Once all the air is purged from the first siphon it will be silent and the small flow in the second drain will be silent.

The intake end of the siphoning drain has to bee deep enough that it cant suck in air. It is important to note this is the level the tank will drain to if the power goes off or the return pump is stopped.

The display is 120 gallons and the sump 30 gallons. If I can remove the grids easily. My return pump is a Vectra M1 and I use it 50%. At the moment, I do not have any gate/ball valves in any of the two drains and if I have space to place them.
