I have had this Favia for close to a year now with no problems.
Params are good
Temp: 80
pH: 8.2
NO3: 5
PO4: .01
Mars Aqua at 50% 16" off the water
Everything in the tank is very happy and growing (mostly sps and lps few softies). I just noticed this white film covering half the colony, it was not there yesterday. I blew some off with a turkey baster and noticed what looks like some exposed skeleton. Has anybody ever seen anything like this? I've looked around online but haven't found any answers.

I would do an immediate dip to start with. Do you have any dips of any sort?

If you or someone you know has a coral bandsaw I'd cut that dead part off. Maybe even your LFS.

That can work also just have to be careful it does not over heat then you can damage it also. Take some photos if you do. Keep us posted.

Yes. That "melting" look on one side definitely appears to be getting stung.
