I got this guy attached to a frag I bought. I can’t for the life of me figure out what kind of anemone it is. Please help!

Hard to see, but is it an aptasia? Compare it to a Google search. If so, it’s a pest you will want to get rid of.

I don’t believe that’s what it is. It has a short stump and the mouth of it is bright pink. Hard to get photos because it is so tiny. The stump of it is almost striped red\ brown.

Pretty certain that’s an aptasia, aka glass anemone… there are diff variations. Maybe google search glass anemone instead of just aptasia, and you should get more images

Ok, definitely not Aptaisia with those colors you describe. Hard to see that on the pics. Does it retract/snap close quickly when touched? Wondering if it’s a hydroid of some sort.

Here’s a few more pictures. More closed up this morning than yesterday.

Yes it closes up very quickly. It’s hard to tell when it’s so tiny.

That looks to me like a majano anemone. It's a variation of aptasia that can be just as destructive in a reef tank.
