I got some SPS fargs and all were doing great in the first week. All of a sudden, two of them stop opening polys but seem to be growing without polys. I wonder what caused them to stop opening up. All my water parameters are fine and stable. I changed carbon, GFO, and dose Prodibio reef booster in between. I wonder if GFO may have something to do with it. or too much light?

I had the same issue and thought one of my fish were nipping at them. Then I came to realize that I had redbugs! I would check your coral for them and AEFW......just my opinion

no fish or red bugs in the tank. I suspect it is GFO or prodibio treatments. They were fine before I change/do the treatment.

I have a deepwater that I have never seen an open polyp on but it has grown about 3/4"-1" in 2-3 months

frag started off around 1/2" now its around 2" with multiple branches starting

Mine are millepora. they should open polys. or maybe it is normal for SPS to not show polys while in huge grow

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
