Help with Nano Plumbing

Hello!

I recently picked up a new nano from my LFS, and l'm trying to figure out the best way to plumb the return. My plan was to add a 90° fitting with a hose barb at the end that connects to the return line. However, I ran into an issue-the 90° return fitting as it seems to be 7/8" with an interior of 3/4".

I've been searching for a 7/8" fitting but haven't had much luck finding one. I'm wondering if I should just go with the following 3/4" fitting from BRS instead?

This is the first time I've come across this kind of sizing issue, so I'd really appreciate any advice on the best way to tackle this.

It appears to me that you are on the right track. I have 2 AIO tanks and on both of them, the fitting that feeds into the return nozzle go inside of the nozzle. Not over top/around it.

So, if the inside dimension is 3/4”, it would make sense that the one you are eyeballing would work.

Thanks! I figure using a 3/4” coupling between the inner diameter of the outlet and the BRS elbow could also work? Would you mind sharing a picture of your return outlets — I’d really appreciate it since I’ve yet to see one that fits inside rather than out online.
