You're really going to need to set up a QT/hospital tank and medicate the fish to cure it of the ich. And on top of that you're going to need to leave your display fallow for at minimum 76 days.

From @Humblefish article:

Symptoms - Ich looks like salt or sugar-like “sprinkles” on the body or fins, usually more “here & there” as opposed to the fish being completely covered in them (see Velvet). Other symptoms include scratching on rocks/sand, head twitching and heavy breathing.

Treatment options - Copper, Chloroquine phosphate, tank transfer method, or hyposalinity.

It's on it's last fin. I bought him regardless, I don't think they were going to save him. I have everything I need but wanted to know a few extra details.

@Russ265 would be a good one to ask about this I know he had a pretty successful treatment of a purple from petco.

He has white spots, shredded fins, one cloudy eye and is curled up on the bottom of the tank.

his chances arent too good then. (imo) although maybe @Humblefish can correct me.

id copper a spare tank and run some kanaplex.

i will say this though... cloudy eye, torn fins, and white spots are generally treatable if the fish can make it.

if he is curled up in a ball in the corner. he is usually waiting to pass

this is what I have. I was expecting my first fish to be healthy and was going to treat prophylactic. I couldn't leave this sick fish.

if "i" had a fish like that... he would be euthanized with clove oil. - not what anyone wants to hear

Yeah, I don't want him to suffer but I can't be the executioner. I believe I have done what I can, I will have to wait and watch this play out.

He seems to still have fight. Every once and a while, he will try to right himself. I added the copper and hopefully he can make it. Can I add the prazi or the API for bacterial infections at the same time? How much will copper affect my notifications?

im hesitant giving you advice for a fish that far gone.

if it was thrown in my lap i would throw some methylne blue in a freshwater bath for 5 minutes and then observe after he was returned to his coppered tank. - this in itself will have a 50:50 shot of killing him based on your photos and description. for tangs not that bad a shape, ive never had a loss.

if he didnt change within the hour and was on his side he would be euthanized.

medication isnt instaneous

Get the copper up to therapeutic levels withing 24 hours, not all at once as that can kill the fish by itself. A fresh water dip could help, though you never know when they are this sick. I've never lost a fish in a fresh water dip that wasn't already beyond saving. You can do prazipro with the copper, but I would wait a couple days and see if he makes it that long. Combining meds this early could be too much for him to handle right now.
