Hermit crab mystery

So I have 5 hermit crabs in my tank...I found a front half of a dead hermit in my tank a while ago and I just found another...and there is still 5 hermits in my tank. My guess is that its their molts, can anyone confirm?

You're probably correct.

Yeah, it's probably molts. Seeing how only the front part of hermit crabs has a shell, that would explain why you're only finding front halves, as the back side wouldn't need to molt.
