I put them in the washing machine with bleach in the dispenser, and a small amount of OxyClean tossed in the drum. Regular cycle, hot water, pre-wash, and extra rinse. I used to turn them inside out but discovered it really doesn't make any difference and is just rough on the fabric. They come out very clean and almost dry just from the spin. Air dry after that.

I just cycle between two socks, one in the tank and one on the clothes line sterilising.

At the end of the week when I’m cleaning my tank I just swap in the fresh one, turn the old one inside out and use a pressure washer on the lowest setting to blast the debris and dirt out of the old one, takes a single sweeping pass over the sock to make it like new.
