I’ve had a used but good condition Hydra 26 HD running on my Red Sea reefer 170 since the summer. My parents were watching my tank while I was away at college but I came home for the first time in a few weeks and as soon as I came home the light just shut off. I thought it was a problem with the AI app or something so I tried reconnecting it, but the light simply won’t turn on at all. Does anyone know what the problem could be? If I call customer service will they help me even though I was not the original owner of the light (I have the original box and everything)? Thanks!

I wouldn't tell them you're not the original owner unless it's asked. I dont know anything about these lights but I would first check the power supply if they have one separate from the fixture.

No status lights either? If that's the case I would def look into the power supply especially if the power supply is kept in the sump area.
Yah even the status light isn’t on. I don’t keep the supply in the sump area though.

I just had a Hydra 26 go bad on my RS Reefer 425. It would blink blue as if trying to re-connect then flash orange. Take a look and see whaPta happening when you try and start it up. Like another poster said first thing to test is the power supply. If the issues persist reach out to AI. They have great customer service. You can ship back your light and they’ll do a diagnostic on it and quote repair cost. GOOD LUCK!
