I plan on getting 3 kessil a360’s for the new Waterbox 220.6 I got, but with the overflow cover, there isn’t really a place to be able to add the third one on the back, without it being off center. I’ve seen this done before, so people just keep the overflow cover off to be able to do this? Will this cause any issues if left off? I was also wondering if the mounting arm potentially being in the overflow water could cause any issues? I’d rather not have to get a 4th light since they’re pricey and 3 is plenty sufficient for my needs

Not waterbox, but for my Red Sea I cut a notch in the overflow cover that matched the light mount.

In the past the tanks came with a solid glass lid and there was an optional glass lid with a cutout for the light mount available for purchase.

In this pic from the reef site you can see one with a cutout through the weir:

But right below it shows a solid lid:

May be worth reaching out to them to confirm which one comes with it.

Edit:
Just found this: https://help.waterboxaquariums.com/article/n0u66u7cuy-how-to-order-an-overflow-cover-with-cut-out

Thank you! Didn’t know they made ones with a cutout, but this should be perfect. I’ll definitely have to order one of these.

I thought WB started making weir covers with slots for middle lights? Try CS
