how long should i wait?

I am moving my tank to my living room. I will need to do some plumbing and driling. How long do i need to wait before i fill the tank up again? I am going to use pvc cement. If i run water thru the pvc for a couple of hours prior to filling the tank again will this take care of any issues?

Ive had to redo plumbing(couple) on my tank when it was up and running. I just let it sit of a hr and start it back up.

30 minutes or so for the PVC glue to cure and you should be fine.

for temporary holding, you could always get 1 or two of those rubbermaid tubs from Lowes or HomeDepot... put a couple of powerheads and headers in there. I don't suggest leaving them there for a days or weeks, but for a couple of days, your live stock should be fine
