I going to be setting up a 180 6x2x2 and am buying all new sand

How many pounds do you think I will need.

I really only want a little coverage maybe a 1"-1-1/2" deep

I have a 210, same foot print as yours. I used 200# of the CaribSea Seaflor Special Grade reef sand. I might have been able to get by with 160lbs, but over all I am pleased with the amount. My sandbed dwelling anemone and goby thank me daily. ;)

Do give you an idea of what that amount would do in your tank,

Before I moved the livestock over,
