I broke my nano down and over the last 18 months GSP covered the entire back wall. So I peeled it off the back of the nano and then cut it into 5 strips. Last night I went to attach one and it was a failure of epic proportions. I used aquarium sealant. I thought it would bond the two. I also dried the back of the gap and tried again. I don’t want to glue with crazy glue to my glass. As done the road I will reset the tank I am putting it in. Any thoughts?

Probably, but other than getting it to attach naturally to the glass, not much else is going to work.

@exnisstech will that superglue be impossible to get off the glass down the road?
I have to say I don't know. I have no plans to remove mine untill I take the tank down. I only glued a small 1-2" piece and now I have to trim it back from the weir every 2-3 weeks. If you do add it place it as low as you want it because it will grow towards the lights and not downward.

Always thought it would be interesting to see someone do an iwagumi scape with GSP and some choice rockwork. Could look crazy.

Can't remember the name of the LFS, but there is a shop located in the UK that has a Iwagumi themed reef tank done completely in GSP as a DT. It's very cool looking.

Here's what I did:

I could not find a glue that worked for me long term. The GSP frag would always detach at some point down the road. So, I resorted to gluing a magnet to the frag plug that the GSP was attached to and then using a second magnet to the exterior glass. So far, this has worked vey well.

Awesome. Knew someone else had to have tried it. 😁
I let mine cover tonga branch years ago and had green fuzzy branches sticking out of my scape, just kept it trimmed off the main reef structure. Everyone was always curious what it was when they saw it 😄.

Yours wont grab the glass? Thats wild. I always had to peel mine off of anything it came in contact with.

I wouldn’t be worried about super glue. For the sure fire way to get it off, you could use a glass scraper. That will absolutely get it off and if you use it correctly you won’t scratch the glass.

I bought some bridal veil on Amazon for like $5. Then used magnets to hold that in place. Slip the coral behind that. Couple days take the veil off and coral is stuck.
