Thanks for the quick response! The other side does not have this issue, so I will swap them tonight and see if the issue follows the RFG.

Thank you so much for the support! I repositioned it slightly and now it’s perfect.

I need some advice or idea. I bought the Double Random Flow Generator in order replace the Sea Swirl. The issue that i have is that the Sea Swirl i have it in the middle of the Tank. Will like to use the Generator on the same place but it goes to far to the front of the tank. Tried to point them far enough to both sides but still goes out to much.

Any ideas or pics so i can use it in the same place as i don't want to redo my plumbing? My Tank is 71" x 24" x 24".

sorry for the slow reply - been out of town since last week.

if you could post a photo of your current setup, either with the seaswirl or with the RFGs as they are now - i can probably give you some suggestions as to how to decrease the overall length of the nozzle setup.

My initial though would be, that if you had a seeswirl in palce that you removed, then you likly have a PVC pipe drop - if that is the case, then you could use a slip-elbow at the end of the drop int the tank, then add a Multidapter fitting (which likely came int he kit you purchased) and the RFG right on the end of that. But, without a photo so the current setup, its hard to know if that would work,.

Thanks. No problem.

Ok. I will post a pic when i get home. For reference, i still have the Sea Swirl working and haven't install the RFG yet. It is centered in the Tank and and the PVC pipe runs on top of the Rimless tank with some flexible tubing between the PVC and the SeaSwirl.

First remove the the nozzle and busing that are attach ethe main elbow.

I bought the Double Random Flow Generator
Then, Assuming you purchased the dual 3/4in flow kite, that kit comes with the 3035-075 Series Multidapter fitting. This fit

This will plug right into the 1in Elbow. and add the 3/4in Loc-lien connector that you can then attach the flow kit to.

Then, if you want to shorten the flow kit - you can reduce the number of loc-line fitting coming off the Y

Let me know if that all makes sense.

you can with a pump - but not a powerhead.

Powerheads like a flow pump simply do not have the ability to generate needed head pressure to drive an RFG nozzle.

But a pump certainly can - in fact its super easy to add a loc-lien connector to most submersible pumps using our Multidapter fittings.

Most of the utility and smaller pumps have an outlet size of 13mm, 20mm or 25mm OD. (0.5in, 0.75in or 1in)

You can slip-fit one of our adapters right over the outlet, which will then let you attach an RFG - and we have adapters to fit pretty much every pipe size

here is an example where we attached a 1/2 RFG to NEWA 1200 (same as a maxiet 1200)

In this case we use the 13mm to 1/2in pipe ADAPTER and a single 1/2in RFG

13mm Pipe to Loc-Line Adapter – MPA13050LL

Flex Series 1/2in Random Flow Generator – RFG050-FLX

Did that work ? you said above that it will not work on a powerhead - not enough head pressure?
Yes, it did/does work,

Sorry - i think we just have different understandings of what a powerhead vs a pump is.

What I meant by "powerhead" would be a propeller pump or wave pump like a vortec or a Sicce Steam, or Nero. Something that the propeller is open and inside a cage

Where as a pump, or "Submersible" pump is having an enclosed impeller, like the NEWA, Maxijet, Sicce Sinca

EDIT: i just realized that the NEWA pump literally says "POWERHEAD" and the the side 🤣. I guess I need to brush up on my vocabulary

Perfect and detailed explanation. I will give that a try in the Weekend and report back. Thanks.

Hello. Does the new flex series 1" model slip over a 1" pvc pipe like the old model?
It does not, however the 1in Flex-Series Random Flow Generator does include a few different Multidapter fittings, which can be used in similar ways.

The included 2530-series Multidapter will fit into a 1in PVC pipe

It will also fit 3/4in Bulkheads and pipe sockets.

The other Multidapter that is included, is the 3035-series fitting.

This one plugs into 1in bulkheads and pipe sockets

It will also fit i to 1.25in PVC pipe

If you have a straight 1in PVC pipe you need to attach to, you can use the included 2530-series multidapter or add an female-slip elbow or bushing to the end of the pipe, and then use the 3035-series Multidapter.

@Nightman29 - just in case you are looking for the old style 1in slip-fit version, i did find one of our resellers that appears to still have stock on that model

If you have a need to create Random Flow AND get as much distance on that flow as possible, the old 1in slip-fit RFGs where awesome at that.
