It'll have to be the first one. Rocks are buried under 4" of sand and my tiger pistol and gobies are always down there. I bought some brushes specifically for that purpose, i was waiting on the bryopsis to be dead so it wouldn't spread even more. I'll give it a shot. Thanks!2 methods that come to mind are attaching a brush to some siphon hose and scrubbing and sucking simultaneously or if possible removing the rock piece by piece, scrubbing them outside the tank and plunging them into a couple stages of saltwater to carry the debris away before replacing.
its tedious work but if you commit to doing it you'll be surprised how much you can get through while accomplishing a water changeIt'll have to be the first one. I do them every other week at 30%, mostly because of schedule. Weekly is difficult and I don't see a point in doing 7g a week.its tedious work but if you commit to doing it you'll be surprised how much you can get through while accomplishing a water change
30% every other week is my schedule now too.I do them every other week at 30%, mostly because of schedule. Weekly is difficult and I don't see a point in doing 7g a week.
Nice! Good to know I'm not the only one, lol.30% every other week is my schedule now too.
I tried less but found nutrients trending upwards and this just seems to keep things looking nicer, works well with my water storage and is easier to commit to routinely.
