You don't have the original gaskets? The original ones have ridges
Also you can smear some silicone on the gaskets, hand tighten and then wait an hour and tighten just a bit more
yeah I do have the originals.
Against the glass, typically!
I unscrewed the box and here is the leak pic

I will flip them around and try that. (instructions to install dont say anything about the ridges)
Im also going to cut the vinyl wrap so the gaskets can touch the glass directly

If you have a soda can or other correct (gasket outside diameter) diameter round object, you can place that over the drilled hole, and trace it with a razor blade to cleanly cut a circle from the vinyl!

I see your picture. Definitely I would suggest that you get an exact-o knife and cut the vinyl away in a circle an 8th inch or more 'larger' than how the gaskets sits-- so you are gasket-on-glass.

Alright Cut the Vinyl and original gaskets on with ridges against the glass and its running so we shall see

Just remember that you can always escalate further with fancier gaskets if you still have issues, before even considering the more permanent solutions!

Don't give up!! They can land men on the moon, so you've got this...
Alright so we have been running for a little over an hour

Zero leaks....

I need help before I tear my hair out I have been trying for over a week...

Pics below of leak and how its all plumbed before I added water.

I drilled and installed the Eshopps Prodigy L Slimline overflow. I CANNOT for the life of me stop this leak. It will either leak on one or both of the drilled holes down the back of the tank as pictured

I have gaskets as follows (Inside Overflow Box-gasket-glass-gasket-outside overflow box-nut)

I have ONLY hand tightened.

Tank is just a aqueon 75 gallon with frame. I initially thought it was the frame so I put the inside overflow box upside down to ensure there would be no restrictions but it still leaks.

I want a Permanent solution NO SILICONE as its a temp fix

@Crabs McJones I know you have one any tips?

When I look at this photo, I'm feeling that there may be a defect in the seam of the box.

The drip appears to be coming from the back of the box and not the bulkhead. Were it a bulkhead leak, I would expect to see drips running down the pipe.

Can you provide another picture looking up?

If all else fails try hydraulic cement. Used for repairing leaks under water. Then seal with an actual epoxy not the crap from LFS

Is it reef safe?

It has ran overnight no leaks. 😁

Man such a weight off my shoulders lol

Thank you all so very much!
Fantastic to hear! Bulkheads have become a major issue in this hobby… I’m glad a bit of group discussion go to the bottom of this one quickly!

I'm looking at your original photo again... did you paint the outside tank glass black yourself? And did you paint all the way up to the holes you drilled-- so that the gasket is trying to seal onto paint, and not just pure, clean, unpainted glass? If so, I had the same problem with water eventually making it's way through. I had to remove all vestiges of paint around the holes, so that the gaskets sat and formed a seal only on glass.
I'm about to install an Eshopps M on a 40g breeder. I'm also going to paint the back black. Should I do that before I drill for the overflow? I was going to do it after.
