You can do this too! You’re more experienced with treating fish than most of us. You’ve had a little practice!
I haven't dealt with velvet yet so I'm not confident enough to offer advice on itYou can do this too! You’re more experienced with treating fish than most of us. You’ve had a little practice!
+1 EXCELLENT advice!Definitely velvet, can come in on ANYTHING wet... corals, inverts, live rock, etc.
Emergency treatment protocol is in post #2 here:

In addition to CP, I would make sure you have acriflavine and an antibiotic on hand... secondary infections are very common with velvet and can kill just as quickly.
Nothing to add, agree+1 EXCELLENT advice!
You'll probably want to add an airstone that makes fine bubbles and a powerhead for more surface agitation, o2 can get low quick in a qt tank with meds. You'll also want an ammonia alert badge and bacteria such as biospira, ammonia can build up quick especially with a Tang in a small tank
It's fun cleaning up all the salt spray outside the tankI just added an air stone inside the sponge filter.
Definitely try to get some biospira to add right away, ammonia will start building up very quickly. Make sure there are plenty of holes in the cardboard so air can get to the surface of the waterI've got a makeshift cover. Foil wrapped cardboard. Cupramine is the only thing in the QT.
