So I really like having access to ICP testing such as triton, it’s a nice way to get a fuller picture of the tanks chemistry. My sps haven’t been growing and the color has been off, I found my Neptune probe holder was rusting while working in my sump, I went back to my icp test and see they don’t list neodymium; nothing else was outside what they claim as acceptable. I can’t be certain neodymium (oxides) are “rusting” off the magnet and the oxidation is purely iron based, but if there was an ICP method that could be easily implemented into the basic tests this might be a good way to know a neodymium magnet (which it seems a lot of holders use) is leaching.
