ID help please

[m and m]

So im looking for a ID with no pics. Pics will be next to imposable for this one. I was looking around with my red light and found a few things im wondering what they are. It is snail like with a finger nail looking shell on its back. The shell is purple with slight hair. I have noticed nothing weird in my tank and have not placed any coral in my ank other then small frag, but i know these did not come in on that. Since these are about a 2-3cm long

So charicteristics of this thing
- Deffinitly some sort of snail
- Snail is longer then its shell
- purple shell with what lookg like possably some hair on it
- It seems to be eating algea on my power head 4 of them
- 2-3 cm long

Like i said notghign is wierd in my tank or going on just making sure these are reef safe/ok since i have never seen them and they must be nocterniol

This was beneficial for me as well, I've seen these in my tank, but always thought it was a snail that lost its regular shell haha

Yep, hell they're better than a lot of the snails people pay money for.
