So I got this guy about a year ago and I have always been under the impression it was a torch. However, the more I look at other torches I am starting to question that. The only reasons I am questioning it are:

1. The base is not branching, it is cone shaped and not growing.
2. The head has multiple mouths but it has never grown or split into additional heads.

The base is pretty much identical to the one in the 3rd pic, that coral was just much easier to get to and take a pic.

Any help with this guy would be much appreciated.

Thanks! Is that variety known to have the conical shaped base? Also do you know if it has any different care requirements? I have tried so many different placement options in the tank and it just never seems happy. I tried to look it up but there is very limited information, and most of that info just takes you to regular blastomussa coral info.
