I know it's a starfish but does anyone know the name and if it's good or bad thanks!

That's deffently a bristle.

They rarely kill fish, if they do it's because they are starved. You will know if they were going to do this because they will stand up on their rays (legs) and "hover" as to drop down on a slow moving fish under them.

It's prolly over kill but I make sure mine gets a whole krill or 1/4 silverside every couple of weeks along with aiming some mysis at (2 or 3) when I feed my fish/corals every 3rd day.


They can also preform this manuver when ever they spawn. You'll know if that's happening...

Mini brittle starfish....That is as big as he will get. I have a bunch and they just stay in rocks with there legs hanging out. Good scavenger. Harmless
