Just relocated my failed attempt at a zoa garden to discover this black slime. Any ideas?

Best way is to touch it. If its squishy and not easily removed it's likely a sponge, if its slimy and is easily blown off the rock it's likely a slime algae of some type. But I'm thinking black sponge :)It very well could be, I just stumbled upon it. How do I tell, and if so, do I need to worry?
I would say more slimy than bouncy.Push on it with a rod and see if it feels kinda bouncy
And they have many pores in the black sponge that are very visible
it’s not easily blown off, so probably a black sponge. Is it harmless? Or should I take action?Best way is to touch it. If its squishy and not easily removed it's likely a sponge, if its slimy and is easily blown off the rock it's likely a slime algae of some type. But I'm thinking black sponge :)
Nope, sponges are a good thing. Filter feeders and a sign of a healthy aquarium:)it’s not easily blown off, so probably a black sponge. Is it harmless? Or should I take action?
