The image is taken from google, not my tank. I have these in my tank, all over the place but only on the underside of my rocks. I'm 99.99% sure they hydroids, but I'm not familiar with this one. They are TINY, about 1/16 or 3/32 of an inch. I'm more familiar with the jellyfish types we normally see on the glass.
Are these in the same category as the jellyfish type and will simply run their course and die off, or should I be concerned?
Tank hits its 4 month birthday this week, so it's still new. As of now everything is chugging along and doing just fine and nothing seems irritated so I'm not overly worried. I feed pretty heavy so I'm thinking the first thing I'll do is cut back on feeding to see if that brings down on the population.
Comments, concerns, and ideas welcome.
