Dear BRS-
I purchased your CaCl powder due to your nice video (being honest) and to avoid the brown sludge that I was getting from the Red Sea foundation calcium mix.

Like the clarity, like the more mild exothermic reaction compared to the Red Sea product. However, it is not as strong.

I assume I can simply increase the amount of CaCl added to increase the concentration of the solution, decreasing the volume needed per dose? Was there any particular reason for your recommended concentration?

Many thanks, and happy holidays.

Adjusting the concentration of the calcium shouldn't be an issue. Our recommended mixing instructions are based on trying to get a 1:1 dosing ratio with our alkalinity products. While no two tanks are alike and this doesn't always work out, it should be pretty close. If you wanted to increase the concentration of the calcium, simply mix in more powder or less water. Keep in mind that this will not work for our sodium bicarbonate or soda ash as that solution is pretty close to fully saturated. Happy holidays :)
