Thank you!! I have actually been looking for a resource like that and haven’t come up with anything good. I will definitely check it out. Here is a picture of the guy I added that harassed our needle fish to death. I like the thrill of catching a species I haven’t yet... I tracked this guy down with my net for like 20 minutes haha

With a mouth like that it is clearly a predator and likely the juvenile that will grow too large for a standard aquarium.

Welcome to R@R. I do miss my natural, local tank but I live in New York so my inhabitants were much different.

Usually gasping and swimming at the surface is ammonia poisoning and if they died with their mouth agape, that is a sure sign.

Your tank needs a "lot" more rock from the area you collect. Only the bacteria from the rock will allow you to keep those creatures as your ammonia is forming faster than the meager bacteria you have can process it. That is a common problem.
